We believe that active children grow healthier, more balanced and more confident. For this reason, we ensure daily contact with natural environments, where Nature is valued as an essential part of each child’s development.
Our students learn and play in carefully planned outdoor spaces that include a Tree House, an Educational Garden and an Educational Farm. These environments offer opportunities for exploration and discovery in a context that encourages autonomy and freedom, while always ensuring comfort, wellbeing and safety.

Meet Rita Estrela
Rita Estrela is the Head of the Well-Being Department at Almada International School.
With a degree in Clinical Psychology and a specialisation in Hyperactivity and Attention Deficit, she is passionate about helping children and adolescents grow confidently, overcome challenges, and believe in their potential.
In 2023, she published her first children’s book, celebrating the value of embracing differences and self-belief. Her work focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where every student feels happy and empowered.
