Almada International School Active Learning Methodologies

We propose a child-centred educational project that considers the child as an active element in the construction of knowledge and gives him/her an effective voice in the learning process. We believe in a participatory educational practice based on pedagogical differentiation.

Each child is a world and the educator’s approach must take into account the child’s individuality and potential. To this end, we ensure a pedagogical model that looks at problem solving from various angles and sees the child’s permanent questioning as a desirable attitude that should be stimulated.

We will establish work plans that are appropriate to the needs of each child and will seek to ensure that teamwork is valued, leading students to learn through projects, research, problem solving or responding to challenges.

Where it makes sense, we will provide our students with other hybrid models of learning.
