Questions, Contact and Support
What is the food plan offered?
We provide a healthy and balanced diet, appropriate to each age group and aligned with the different stages of children’s development. Our menu follows a zero added sugar policy, excludes fried foods, and prioritises fresh ingredients while avoiding processed foods whenever possible.
We work with Farm to School, a trusted partner that allows us to guarantee high-quality products, freshly prepared every day in our own facilities.
The morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack are included in the monthly fee.
Opening Hours and School Closures
Our school is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The school is also closed throughout the month of August.
All school closure days are clearly outlined in our School Calendar, which is reviewed and updated annually. We recommend consulting the calendar for the most up-to-date information regarding closures during each academic year.
What age groups does the school offer?
Almada International School welcomes students from Early Years 1 (1 year old) and currently offers education up to Lower Secondary – Year 7, which will open in the 2026–2027 academic year.
In the coming years, the school plans to progressively expand its educational offer, with the aim of providing a full pathway up to Year 12, ensuring continuity and long-term planning for our families.
What is included in the school fees?
School fees include tuition and daily meals (morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack).
The following are not included in the school fees: enrolment and renewal fees, school uniform, educational materials, school trips, extracurricular activities and specific events, which are charged separately when applicable.
Do you accept enrolments for periods shorter than one academic year?
Requests for enrolment for periods shorter than a full academic year are reviewed on an individual basis. Approval is subject to Senior Leadership Team (SLT) review, availability of places, and specific conditions, and may involve fees outside the standard fee structure.
Is there a shuttle service?
During the first phase the school does not have a transport service.
Does the school have an app to share daily updates about my child?
Yes, we use a dedicated communication app to share regular updates about each child’s school life. Through the app, families receive weekly information, photos, messages from teachers, menus, and other important details. It is a simple and effective way for parents to stay connected with their child’s experiences at school.
Is there a school store?
Yes, the school has an on-site store where families can collect items purchased online through our website. This includes school uniforms and learning materials. The store makes it easy and convenient to receive everything your child needs for school.
